Infrastructure Project Manager (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a Infrastructure Project Manager for our client in North Carolina. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description:

• Supports for end-to-end infrastructure technology projects for coordinating the requirements, design and build of hardware including servers, network and storage for Client projects. Supports project management responsibilities relating to application software implementations and upgrades. Role has matrix execution responsibility across all technology organizations and the line of business as well as LOB. Manages multiple projects or a single complex project. Partners with Program and Project Managers and SMEs to create business requirements for technology solutions. Assists with technology estimates, manages low to moderate complexity technology solutions for projects to a full-scale deployment in a live environment. Manages to timelines and communicates project status and has matrix management responsibility. Build positive give and take relationships with stakeholders. Use the right questions and tools to uncover root causes to business challenges, identify opportunities, and make recommendations. Typically requires 10+ years of applicable experience. Former Bank contractor a plus. Needs to know Visio, MS Project, Excel, Powerpoint. Needs to have experience with finances and resource and capital planning and tracking.

• Experience of large scale complex projects

• Infrastructure delivery projects (servers, storage, network, etc.)
• Datacenter migrations

Desired Skills:

• Extensive experience in some or all of Distributed Operating Systems, Databases, Middleware, Mainframe and Data Networks.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and relationship building skills.
• Experience providing end to end design guidance and oversight for large scale initiatives.
• : Ability to lead a team through technical challenges both tactically and strategically.
• Experience translating product roadmaps and key technical strategies and direction.
• Experience with staffing, financial, legal, risk and compliance processes at BOA preferable.
• Experience with production support of infrastructure technology
• Good relationship building skills

Technical:

• Experience with deployed infrastructure technologies in Client
• Broad and deep knowledge of bank technologies and business value chains and roadmaps.

• Experience leading large enterprise lifecycle projects. (Project lead, Engineering lead, Development lead, deployment lead, etc)
• Experience with Six Sigma processes and tools.
• Experience with problem management and service level management
• Line management experience preferred but not essential
