Software Engineer

The SkillStorm customer is seeking an Software Engineer who will analyze, design, and implement new 3D UI engines and 3D systems for commercial consumer products.

Qualifications:

·         Experience with character animation pipelines and requirements.

·         Minimum 2 years game industry experience with at least 1 AAA shipped title on current or last generation consoles or PSP/DS platforms.

·         Excellent C/C++ skills.

·         OpenGL/DirectX API experience.

·         OpenGL ES 1.x/2.0 experience.

·         Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and ability to collaborate with artists on graphics techniques.

·         Knowledgeable in a variety of special FX techniques.

·         Experience with different shading and lighting pipelines.

·         Strong background in game development or gaming components (i.e. game engines, particle systems, 3D effects, collision detection, etc.).

·         Strong Shader experience (DirectX, CG, OpenGL ES 2.x, OpenGL 2.0).

·         Solid background in mathematics.

·         Familiar with game asset pipelines and content creation tools development for 3D games (Maya, 3DS Max, SoftImage, Photoshop) and their plugin development.

·         Familiar with GUI sdks and environments (Microsoft .NET, Win32 GUI, Qt, etc).

·         Bachelors, Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science.

·         Various levels of expertise in 3D graphics and core game engine development and/or 3D UI design and development.

·         Prior experience with 3D development on PSP/PS2/Nintendo Game Cube/DS/Xbox and current consoles with additional experience with content creation tools and 3D game engine design concepts.
