Business Objects Developer (Closed)

Our customer is seeking a Business Objects Developer.

Responsibilities:

Create and maintain version XI 3.1 Universes

Create and maintain version XI 3.1 Web Intelligence reports

Create and maintain Xcelsius 2008 dashboards

Design report tables for SQL Server data warehouse

Qualifications:

At least 5 years of Business Objects XI experience in all aspects of the application (WEBI Report Developer and Universe Designer)

Understand business challenges & translate them into requirements/solutions

Provide Solution Performance (analysis/tuning) & work across business/technology teams to ensure alignment between business solution definition & systems architecture for the organization

Demonstrated experience designing, developing and implementing complex Business Objects solutions

5 years’ experience with developing universes and reports for the module(s) listed at the bottom of this page

Wealth of experience creating complex WEBI reports involving

Multiple Data providers, Merged Dimensions, Synchronization, Combined Queries, Sub-queries, Report Level Details, Charts, Crosstabs, Sections, Breaks, Alerts, Ranking, Report Level Variables and Dashboards

Solid understanding of Universe design, implementing best-practices with a solid understanding of the use of Contexts and Aggregate

Awareness and their impact on reporting

Adept in the creation and maintenance of Publications for the delivery of packaged reports to broad audiences

Strong SQL skills

Proficient in MS Excel

Xcelsius 2008

Strong Communications skills, good self-starter, strong troubleshooting skills, ability to manage projects tasks on their own

Crystal Reports 2008 or later with experience with data sources from a database and from a Universe

Knowledge Data warehouse methodology
