Technical Writer (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a Technical Writer for our client in Richardson, TX. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description:

• Prepare, review, revise, and maintain technical documents, including software and systems engineering, system operations, testing, and user documentation.
• Write, format, edit, review, and proof procedural and technical information for technical and nontechnical users.
• Ensuring a consistent "look and feel" for wide array of document spaces.
• Help developers and users of platform to write and find the correct documents for specific purpose.
• Assist in planning, scheduling, and tracking documentation work in parallel with product releases
• Gather and analyze product information from various sources to document new or changing product functionality.

Required Skill:

• Bachelor's Degree, preferably in a technical field such as computer science or a focus on English, writing, or communications.
• 5-7 years of experience required in an IT environment.
• Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
• Experience in presenting technical information in a live setting, such as conference and meetings

Desired Skills:

• Experience with Confluence, Wikipedia and markdown language
• Experience in creating documentation for audiences with different levels of technical difficulty.
• Ability to read programming and configuration code.
