Technical Project Manager (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a Project Manager for our client in Charlotte, NC OR Richardson, TX. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description:

• Team seeks a resource that is technical in nature/background and also possesses strong project management skills to help drive technology implementation projects. This person will be responsible for the on time/within budget, end to end delivery of the infrastructure (hardware/software). They will serve as primary contact to senior management team for all project related questions. The resource will be responsible for interfacing with SMEs (Chief Engineers, System Admins, Build engineers, etc) and management to drive project deliverables and will interact heavily with the application teams to coordinate shared deliverables, provide updates, and handle inquiries and issues. Uses JIRA /Kanban project management.

Desired Skills:

• 5 years plus experience in project management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Work, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Microsoft Project / Project Plan creation and management.
• Enjoys working with multiple Engineering teams to deliver infrastructure / hardware solutions for our Software Technology partners.
• Detail Oriented, Keeps the project team focused and on task.
• Must be able to build MS project plans based on resource input for task, sequence and duration.
• Must be able to work with Engineers to purchase, build, and certify hardware and network connections, submit Firewall changes, update SOR for servers, changes.
• Must be able to build a project team, and identify the team members, their roles, and understand the delivery task for each team member.
• Experience with application management and/or development
• Works closely with Design Team Lead to define project requirements and impacted engineering teams.
