Staff Hadoop DevOps Engineer (Closed)

Our customer is seeking a Staff Hadoop DevOps Engineer 

Responsibilities:
We are looking for a Hadoop DevOps Engineer with 5+ years of experience working with Cloudera or MapR Hadoop distributions.
The Hadoop DevOps Engineer will augment the Hadoop development team to port an existing file-processing application over to the Hadoop ecosystem.
In addition,Hadoop DevOps Engineer will assist the Hadoop cluster administrators with cluster administration tasks and acting as a liaison between said teams.
This person will augment the Hadoop development to assist with Hadoop technical investigations, development and prototypes.
This person will act as a liaison between the Hadoop cluster administrators and the Hadoop application development team to identify and resolve issues impacting application availability, scalability, performance, and data throughput with either Cloudera or MapR Hadoop distributions.
This person will act as a liaison between the Hadoop administrators and the Hadoop application development team.
This person will augment the Hadoop development team by assisting with Hadoop technical investigations, development and prototypes.
Work with the Hadoop development staff in technical investigations, development and prototypes.
Work with the Hadoop administration team in cluster setup, administration and tuning.
Act as a liaison between the Hadoop cluster administrators and the Hadoop application development team to identify and resolve issues impacting application availability, scalability, performance, and data throughput.
Work with project team members to help propagate knowledge and efficient use of Hadoop tool suite.
Provide support for application-specific Hadoop production issues negatively impacting application high-availability, throughput and performance.

Qualifications:
Proven development and operational experience within Hadoop ecosystem (MapReduce, YARN, Hive, Pig, Drill, Oozie, Sqoop, etc.)
Prior work experience in high-volume, parallel-processing enterprise systems.
Proficiency in SQL, Java, Linux shell.
Experience with DataTorrent or HBase a plus.
Proficiency in working with either Cloudera or MapR Hadoop distribution.
Working knowledge of Hadoop cluster setup, monitoring and Hadoop 1 and Hadoop 2 APIs.
Required - Bachelor's, Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Compensation: Competitive based on experience.
