Sr. ServiceNow Developer- IT Asset Management

We are looking for an experienced Sr. ServiceNow Developer to join our client’s ServiceNow IT Asset Management (ITAM) team, with a specific focus on Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM). The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of ServiceNow development and a proven track record of implementing effective asset management solutions. You will work closely with IT and business teams to enhance asset visibility, compliance, and overall management efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• HAM & SAM Solutions Development: Design, develop, and implement comprehensive solutions for Hardware Asset Management and Software Asset Management within the ServiceNow platform.
• Customization & Integration: Customize ITAM modules to meet organizational needs and integrate them with other ServiceNow modules and external systems for seamless operations.
• Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for HAM and SAM processes, translating them into technical specifications.
• Technical Leadership: Mentor junior developers and team members, promoting best practices in ServiceNow development and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
• Workflow Automation: Create and optimize workflows related to asset lifecycle management, including procurement, deployment, and retirement of assets.
• Testing & Validation: Conduct comprehensive testing of developed solutions, ensuring they meet business requirements and function as intended.
• Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation for all development activities, including design documents, user guides, and training materials.
• Performance Monitoring: Monitor the performance of HAM and SAM processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing enhancements as necessary.
• Compliance Assurance: Ensure compliance with industry standards and organizational policies related to asset management and reporting.
• Support & Troubleshooting: Provide ongoing support for HAM and SAM applications, addressing issues and implementing timely solutions.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in ServiceNow development, with at least 3 years specifically focused on Hardware Asset Management and Software Asset Management.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong expertise in ServiceNow ITAM modules, particularly HAM and SAM.
  • Proficiency in ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript, Glide, etc.) and development tools (UI Policies, Business Rules, etc.).
  • Experience with ServiceNow APIs and integration techniques.
  • Familiarity with ITIL framework and best practices in asset management.
• Certifications: ServiceNow Certified Application Developer or relevant certifications in ITAM (HAM/SAM) preferred.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative mindset.
