UI / React Developer (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking an UI / React Developer for our client in Addison, TX. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description:

• Adoption of the Global Markets UI platform has grown dramatically in 3 years, with 170+ applications in production, 5,000 users and 60,000 launches monthly, all of which are expected to steadily grow in 2022-23. Included in the platform are multiple Tier 1 applications for management of pre trade Analytics (GLASS), Trader Intraday Risk (BRISK), Finance PnL Reconciliation and Signoff (FRD), and Counterparty Credit Risk (Credit Studio). In order to meet availability service level agreements on these and other critical applications as this growth continues, the core UI development must expand into a fully staffed presence in EMEA, providing development, technical support and end user support when necessary.

Position Summary:

• This role will contribute technical leadership for the Global Markets UI Horizontal. The Global Markets UI is the strategic user interface platform for all Global Markets Applications at Client, using HTML/Javascript/React/Openfin technologies. The role will have responsibility to contribute to core elements of the framework, develop flagship applications on the framework, provide technical support to tenant applications developed on the framework, and provide 2nd level end user support in AMRS for the framework when necessary. Responsibilities include:
• Design and develop UI platform, ensuring timely completion of deliverables with minimum technical debt accumulated
• Implement reusable, efficient front end components for complex applications
• Mentor junior members of development team to continuously improve engineering practices including planning & estimation, peer reviews and documentation
• Coordinate with project management to ensure Jira backlog/requirements are healthy and contain clear acceptance criteria
• Coordinate with releasement management and MAPS on production releases

Primary Skill:

• ReactJS

Required Skills:

• 5-7 years demonstrated experience in UI development
• Understanding of modern JavaScript
• Must know React, NPM and/or Yarn, ES6+, Webpack, Babel
• Experience with network APIs, including rest API, Websockets and ability to optimize front end performance
• Experience with Python (or similar backend language Ruby, Node.js, Perl, etc..)
• Strong verbal/written communication skills and excellent organization skills
• Detail oriented, ability to multi-task, adapt to change, and effectively prioritize work to meet competing deadlines

Desired Skills:

• Good general understanding Git
• Knowledge of Openfin/Electron
• Knowledge of Jenkins or comparable build system
