Technical Project Manager (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a Technical Project Manager for our client in Addison, TX. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description:

  • Lead and deliver the DCRS technology solution with quality, on-time, and within budget
  • Own end-to-end lifecycle accountability to deliver the right technology solution while following the Enterprise Project Standards for planning, executing, controlling and closing the technology components and deliverables within project
  • Identify potential risks and escalate as needed, remove roadblocks to ensure progress
  • Execute project using Agile methodology
  • Monitor, track, and communicate project status to key stakeholders and executives
  • Manage and oversee deliverables of technology resources identified on resource plan (including design, coding and testing teams)
  • Execute appropriate due diligence and financial management routines to deliver against financial commitments
  • Monitor and reconcile budget and spend including burn rate, consultant direct billing and forecast variance. Own financial forecast relating to hardware purchases, related software and testing, and services provided by contractors
  • Lead delivery of technical sections of requirements as well as design, traceability matrix, deployment tasks and contingency/rollback plans
  • Ensure all impacted applications are identified and engaged in design, development, testing through to deployment
  • Maintain project systems of record
  • Partner with QA/testing teams to ensure testing deliverables/timelines are met
  • Oversees deployment readiness plans and documentation; and ensures deployment timelines and event are coordinated with broader planned release activities

Required Skills:

  • 5-7 years previous experience managing technology projects using SDLC methodologies (Agile and/or Waterfall)
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Strong leadership skills to lead project team to deliver the technology solution with quality, on-time, and within budget
  • Strong communication skills to effectively and clearly communicate project status, issues, risks at all levels including key stakeholders and executives
  • Ability to identify, communicate, and drive critical path activities, dependencies, timelines, and resources
  • Previous experience managing project budget and financials to execute appropriate due diligence and financial management routines to deliver against financial commitments
  • Ability to drive Enterprise Project Standards for planning, executing, and controls and meeting project audit requirements
  • Risk management and ability to identify potential risks and escalate as needed, remove roadblocks to ensure progress
  • Ability to identify all impacted teams, applications, and engage as needed for design, development, testing through to deployment(s)
  • Ability to partner with testing teams to ensure testing timelines and deliverables are met
  • Ability to identify deployment readiness plans and documentation and ensure deployment timelines and event are coordinated with broader planned release activities and externally impacted application teams
  • Proactive in driving team to achieve commitments and results

Desired Skills:

  • Project execution using Agile methodology
