Technical Project Manager (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a Technical Project Manager for our client in Jacksonville, FL. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description:

  • This resource will assist the EET Platforms Engineering team leads by managing, organizing, prioritizing, and grooming the Platforms Engineering project pipeline and change backlog in accordance with the platforms, device, and end-user computing strategy. The scope of work will include identification and tracking of key tasks, deliverables, and project milestones, as well as proactively identifying resource needs and project risks and remediation plans. This resource will run scrum-style meetings with key participants to track tasks and ensure the team is staying focused on upcoming deliverables. The resource will leverage
  • user, device, and application data reporting to provide analysis of device and application usage and trends; and will provide validation and rationalization of device and platform strategy and alignment of users and devices to best-fit target platforms. The resource will lead requirements gathering and analysis exercises, meet with stakeholders and technical leaders to identify and document service requirements and documentation, and identify and track deliverables needed to complete the testing and solution validation of infrastructure and service components. The resource will create high level technical documents and diagrams using tools like Visio, and the creation of business case and project and tollgate documentation and required artifacts. The resource will be required to work in Sharepoint at an expert level, designing and maintaining project dashboards and task timelines in the tool, and will also utilize enteprise JIRA, and Confluence tools and will leverage Agile/Scrum knowledge and processes to manage and track team timelines and deliverables.

Required Skills:

  • The resource must have a strong technical background in managing end-user enterprise desktop and application platforms engineering and service delivery, and must be able to demonstrate understanding of the complexities and technology drivers that influence prioritization of work in a corporate enterprise environment. The resource should have an understanding of resiliency and business continuity needs and how technology enables business users to meet business continuity requirements. The resource must have expert level proficiency in Excel, being able to leverage complex lookups, pivot tables and advanced features to analyze data from multiple sources and create effective charts and tables to represent complex data in an accessible manner. The resource must be highly proficient in Project Management methodology and tools, including MS Project, and also experienced and comfortable using Agile methods, Scrum, and Kanban. Resource must be proficient at a very high level with creating sites, apps, dashboards, timelines, lists, forms, and workflows in Sharepoint. Resource should be expert in Visio, able to create high level technical diagrams and map complex technical and process workflows.

Desired Skills:

  • Resource should be able to effectively present complex technology data to all levels of business and stakeholder partners, including technical and non-technical audiences. Strong PowerPoint skills highly preferred. Must be able to effectively run meetings with clear agendas and provide accurate and complete meeting minutes with follow up items assigned and tracked. Must be highly effective and professional in both written and verbal communication. Must be comfortable and highly proficient in leveraging technology and tools like WebEx and Skype to work effectively while remote and with virtual teams.
