SkillStorm is seeking a QA Tester for our client in Addison, TX. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description:

• Software tester on one of the ATM scrum/kanban teams. This tester will groom stories with the team, plan and execute story and feature level tests in Jira and report defects as appropriate. The tester will assist in demos and UAT testing with the product owner. The testers will engage in the team's daily standup and provide proactive and effective communication to the team. Tester will be responsible for installing builds, conditioning data and troubleshooting any issues with the test ATM environments.

Required Skills:

• Test Preparation--Ability to assess and test (groom) Epics and Stories in an agile process. Ability to document test plans and prepare test cases/scripts and review and improve with the team. Installation of software, conditioning of data and assessing and communicating test environmental issues. Building a deep understanding of how the various ATM models work and how they interact with the other applications at the bank.
• Test Execution --Ability to be onsite in a test lab to test ATM software on hardware devices. Execute and document results of testing which includes trouble shooting and reducing defects to their most succinct steps.
• Test Reporting – Create succinct, valuable information in defects across multiple tools and summarize testing status derived from these tools.

Desired Skills:

• Understanding of Agile and the tester's role in the process.
• Experience with low level request/response testing is a plus.
• Any knowledge of the NDC communication protocol is helpful.
• On-site hardware testing experience in a lab environment – or any type of hands-on device testing.
• Team focused behavior and an ability to communicate issues in a timely and appropriate manner.
• Able to work independently and make decisions that will move the work forward despite challenges.
