Python / Java Developer (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a Java Developer for our client in Charlotte, NC. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description:

• Develops, enhances, debugs, supports, maintains and tests software applications that support Corporate Treasury line of business. These application program solutions may involve diverse development platforms, software, hardware, technologies and tools. Participates in the design, development and implementation of complex applications, often using new technologies. Provide technical direction and system architecture for individual initiatives. Serves as a fully seasoned/proficient technical resource. May lead projects and direct activities of a team related to special initiatives or operations. May collaborate with external programmers to coordinate delivery of software application. Works under minimal supervision, with general guidance from more seasoned consultants. Typically requires 6+ years of experience.

Required Skills:

• Advanced knowledge of Python (preferred), Java or C/C++
• Creative, quick-thinking and an aptitude for solving problems with technology.
• Experience of using design and architectural patterns.
• Design and development experience in modern technologies such as API management, REST/API integration, Containers, Micro services.
• Experience in databases (relational/document/etc.) including NoSQL databases.
• Experience in Web UI (Angular, Spring) and CI/CD tools
• Ability to work both independently and within a high functioning team environment.
• Understanding of various financial instruments Interest rate swaps, FX swap and bond is preferred but not required.
