SkillStorm is seeking a Project Manager for our client in Charlotte, NC OR Richardson, TX. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.
Job Description:
- Supports for end-to-end technology infrastructure for programs and projects. Performs project management responsibilities relating to information technology implementations, upgrades, conversion and recovery. Role has direct and matrix execution responsibility across all technology organizations as well as LOB Portfolio/Program Manager on the business side for delivering the program/projects. Manages multiple projects or a single major project. Partners with Program and Project Managers and SMEs to create business requirements for technology solutions. Assists with technology estimates, manages low to moderate complexity technology solutions for projects to a full-scale deployment in a live environment. Manages to timelines and communicates project status and has matrix management responsibility. Build positive give and take relationships with stakeholders. Use the right questions and tools to uncover root causes to business challenges, identify opportunities, and make recommendations. Typically requires 7-20 years of applicable experience.
Required Skills:
- Strong Project Management Skills
- MS Project, MS Excel and MS Power Point
- Educational background and experience in project management or business management or associated area
- Ability to work with others and manage disparate teams globally
- Ability to manage the successful execution of technical solutions whether by a single team or multiple teams
- A proven track record in a similar role
- Excellent interpersonal skills; positive attitude; team player; flexible
- Must be able to face off to business and technology leaders
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to lead meetings, follow-up, negotiate and resolve ambiguity
- Basics in financial markets & banking operations
- Keen attention to detail and strong sense of ownership and accountability for work
- Motivated to work closely and cooperatively with other team members of varying levels of seniority and experience
- Must be a self-starter and have the ability to work with little to no supervision
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of Infrastructure Technology programs and projects
- Experience of large scale complex projects
- A passion for technology and banking operations
- Infrastructure delivery projects (servers, storage, network, etc.)
- Datacenter migrations
