Product Manager

SkillStorm is seeking a Product Manager for our client in Addison, TX. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description:

  • ? This Product Manager will be responsible for product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle for critical service offerings within the Productivity Portfolio of products. The key responsibilities will include: gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, supply chain, marketing, operations and support to ensure customer satisfaction goals are met. This individual must also ensure that critical interactions are maintained with key vendors who are aligned to meet project goals; maintaining relationships with internal vendor management teams to ensure satisfactory contract negotiations. This Product Manager's job also includes ensuring that the product and communication efforts support the company's overall strategy and goals, including, ensuring smooth execution for critical initiatives, ensuring customer experience is maximized and time to market goals are met. Overall, this product manager will be responsible for supporting the Sr. Product Manager for two major SharePoint Upgrade projects as well multiple smaller-scale projects.

This Product Manager is expected to:

  • Assist in defining the product strategy and roadmap for the SharePoint at the bank
  • Understand and represent the needs and requirements of a wide variety of customers
  • Deliver requirements documents with prioritized features and corresponding justification
  • Drive new product enhancements/updates through the development process lifecycle
  • Oversee and lead the efforts to identify risk, enable proper solutions are built through engineering and deploy/remediate according to bank standards
  • Ensure service adoption forecasts are met
  • Perform product demos and orchestrate training for customers
  • Understand all aspects of the costs and financial levers that impact the product. Propose an overall budget and secure funding to ensure key goals are met
  • Deliver well organized and impactful presentations to all levels in the organization
  • Work with external third parties as required
  • Work with an extensive array of internal key stakeholders to ensure activities are completed
  • Develop and manage the core positioning and messaging for the product across various marketing media and campaigns
  • Deliver monthly metrics including volumes, savings, and expenses with forecasts
  • Run beta and POC programs with early-stage products and samples
  • Be an expert with respect to alterative / competing products

Skills Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of product management discipline, including new product development, testing and deployment
  • Prior experience in a high-volume production environment
  • Knowledge of unstructured data challenges as well as collaboration, social and productivity product familiarity
  • SharePoint Experience is a must.
  • Prior experience working on SharePoint Upgrades is a plus
  • Exceptional executive presentation and communication skills
  • Excellent at managing multiple tasks, projects and crisis at the same time
  • Excellent influencing and problem resolution skills
  • Must be comfortable in delivering messages across a wide spectrum of individuals having varying degrees of technical understanding
  • Must have strong leadership skills and qualities which enable you to work with peers and various levels of management

Technology Skills:

  • Experience leading and influencing technology teams (engineers/architects) in delivering collaboration tools
  • Experience with technology deployment processes

Experience Requirements:

  • Information Technology professional with 10+ years’ experience
  • SharePoint experience is a must.
  • Bachelor's and/or Master’s degree in Information Technology or related field
  • Experience working in a highly regulated financial institution preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in Product Management
  • Demonstrated success defining and launching products
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Product Management Certification (preferred)
  • Technical background
  • Excellent teamwork skills
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • 6 sigma knowledge and achievement a plus
  • ITSM experience
