MuleSoft Developer (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a MuleSoft Developer for our client in Addison, TX. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description:

  • Lead, design, implement (write code) and maintain application projects for a new and emerging API Channel within the Consumer Lending Markets space. Must be very knowledgeable about API technologies and be able to understand very complex systems and utilize development patterns to develop key components in a clustered and multithreaded environment. Strong ability to build APIs using the MuleSoft AnyPoint (v4.x) platform. Demonstrated record of developing successful applications that are highly integrated and reliable. Must be knowledgeable about externally facing API Gateways and industry trends. Must be self-driven, communicate well and work well on a team of other developers. Must work with business to understand requirements and architecture leads to develop a strategic design. Ultimately responsible for delivery of project into production. Experience working in an Agile environment is required.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/related field or equivalent working experience.
  • Deep knowledge and insight into all aspects of MuleSoft API workflows and ecosystem.
  • At least 7+ years of overall experience in software development/software engineering.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in a Developer/Lead capacity building MuleSoft API’s/Applications.
  • Ensures that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple competing tasks and priorities with rapidly changing environment.
  • Hands-on development experience using Microservice architecture interacting through a combination of REST/SOAP services to build, test and deploy Microservices.
  • Application development experience (MuleSoft, MUnit, .Net/Java, SQL/ Oracle, Spring, Webservices (REST and SOAP))
  • Strong working experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Ability to assist with offshore / onshore task co-ordination.
  • Experience with Git, preferably using GitFlow branching strategy.
  • Experience in Dev Ops, JIRA/Jenkins/CI/CD technologies.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with technical and non-technical cross-functional teams.

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of client facing applications; experience with Agile methodology; strong presentation skills; client focused and able to build working relationships.
  • Dealing with large files and parallel processing (aka multi-threading)
  • Knowledge of RAML/API Specifications tool
  • Development and consumption of API/services using MULE.
  • Worked on building Microservices/REST API’s / Containers / Kubernetes
  • Demonstrated experience in designing, developing, and deploying high-volume, multi-tiered, distributed transactional applications.
  • Create and execute unit, integration, and regression tests.
  • MuleSoft certification is a plus.
