Mobile Developer (Closed)

Looking for a lead mobile developer with strong Swift development skills. Some knowledge of the Android platform would also be preferred. This is a hands-on coding role that will also lead the technical direction of our mobile products. They should have experience working on Agile teams and should have a strong team-focused mentality. Candidates should have a proven history of substantial contributions to their team projects, with a solid understanding how and why their projects were built."

Summary
This position is a strong mobile development team lead and mentor in the organization. Someone with deep knowledge of the Apple ecosystem combined with enough Android knowledge to provide high-level direction to Android developers. They interact with the business and product owners more regularly than other developers and they have the capacity to draw requirements out of a conversation with strong verbal and written communication skills. They are near the top of their field in technical understanding and have the capacity to learn quickly and adapt technical solutions outside their current knowledge lane in order to frame the best solution for the current problem.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Oversee designing, developing, and communicating an implementation plan for software solution delivery
• Contribute materially to all aspects of the SDLC, including understanding requirements, design, development, building, testing, deploying, and maintaining enterprise solutions
• Provide guidance to the mobile team regarding procedures, methodologies, tools, quality performance standards, and company-wide goals.
• Work with account managers and other non-technical parts of the business to help them understand technical parts of the mobile applications, as needed.
• Technically lead team members through coaching and mentorship.
• Understand and filter through complex customer requirements and break them down to simple, technical tasks.
• Maintain accountability for project delivery while keeping alignment with business and IT requirements a priority.
• Review work done by team developers to ensure that all project requirements are sufficiently met.
• Lead team to follow company standards and best practices.
• Propose new practices and process improvements that align with company goals.

Job Qualifications

Education
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent years of experience is required.

Experience
• 7+ years of overall strong development experience
• 5+ years of iOS (Swift) experience with quality readable and well-tested code
• 2+ leading a development team providing thought leadership and building testable enterprise level software
• Strong full-stack experience working with interconnected systems, with an understanding of the patterns and designs of successful multi-layered enterprise applications
• Experience using version control systems. Azure Git is a plus.
• Experience working on agile teams
• Experience working with offshore team members
