JR Systems Admin (Closed)

The SkillStorm customer is seeking a JR Systems Admin who will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and access for applications on Windows Servers.

Responsibilities:

• Support the administration of applications and support application end users.
• Technologies supported include software configuration, software technical support, software security, and other software applications.
• Troubleshoot application system issues, resolve or recommend solutions.
• Create and manage system documentation including configurations.
• Participate in the definition and implementation of system components including new servers, hardware, software and upgrades.
• Install, upgrade, support and troubleshoot operating systems.

Qualifications:

• Must possess solid knowledge of operating systems and networking hardware and software, including load-balancing and IIS configurations.
• Must be able to work with other technology teams to coordinate backup services, networking, and hardware requests.
• Strong Communication and problem-solving skills required for both helping end users and resolving issues with vendors with minimal oversight.
• Basic Experience with querying data from MS-SQL and Oracle desired.
• At least one year of experience functioning in a Systems Administrator capacity is required, but significant help desk experience will also be considered.
