Java Developer (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a Java Developer for our client in Addison, TX. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description:

• Support enterprise scale solution development by providing, communicating and evolving broader technology and architectural view of the solution with focus on data privacy and protection
• Defining sub-systems, interfaces, deployment strategies
• Creating a technology roadmap for the organization based on requirements that spawn mainframe including IMS, DB2, GDG
• Creating a technology roadmap for the organization based on requirements that spawn midrange RDBMS databases
• Creating a technology roadmap for the organization based on requirements that spawn Object systems like Quartz/Sandra
• Creating a technology roadmap for the organization based on requirements that spawn content extraction from documents and processing privacy data
• The candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to create architectural artifacts including architectural diagrams, process flows, data flows, integration flows, UMLs etc.
• The candidate must have the capability to present architecture and design to senior leaders and drive buyins and adoption.

Skills Must Have:

• 5+ yrs. experience of architecting Java tech stack enterprise solutions, with focus on distributed computing/processing including distributed communication protocols like sockets, gRPC etc.
• 3+ yrs. experience of architecting web services and API call interactions.
• 3+ yrs. experience of architecting Python tech stack solutions, including pattern matching, NLP etc.
• 3+ yrs. experience building solutions in data privacy topics like data masking, encryption, tokenization in either Java or Python.
• 2+ yrs. solution design experience on messaging platforms like KAFKA, setting up topics, establishing data loading processes and automations for data loading and processing
• 2+ yrs. experience in shell scripting and cron job based automation

Additional Skills:

• Development experience in Java/Python is a significant plus.
• Unix based implementation experience is a significant plus.
• Exposure in confidential data discovery, data sanitization of confidential data is a significant plus.
• Support multiple projects with competing deadlines
