SkillStorm is seeking a Data Analyst for our client in Charlotte, North Carolina. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Description:

• Balance Sheet Management & Treasury Finance (BSMTF) is a division within the CFO group responsible for providing executive management with accurate and timely forecasts of the balance sheet, earnings, and Interest Rate Risk (IRR). This information provides the framework that allows the company to position its balance sheet consistent with its risk appetite and expectations for changes in interest rates.
• BSMTF maintains close partnerships with various groups across the enterprise, providing key input to critical processes and strategic decisions. These partnerships focus on the following:
  • (a) balance sheet composition and interest rate risk strategy
  • (b) strategic planning for the company’s three-year outlook with Corporate Planning and Finance
  • (c) setting the right strategy to accurately measure the profitability of assets and liabilities to ensure efficient usage of the balance sheet.

Role Information:

• The specific role will involve data analysis, working with various quantitative finance and enterprise risk functions to measure, analyze, and report valuation-based IRR metrics that involve use of quantitative models, position level data, and qualitative assumptions.
• Additionally, the role will contribute to automation projects that require process knowledge, coding/programming skills, and attention to detail.

• Programming and/or statistical experience
• Organized, detail-oriented, and analytical thinker
• Experience with databases, data research and analytics
• Experience with financial modeling concepts (e.g., discounted cash flows)
• Economic / financial acumen (e.g., Treasury/ALM experience)
• Understanding of banking products (e.g., mortgage loans, deposits, etc.)
• Strong communication skills
• Team oriented, but able to work with a high level of autonomy and make well-reasoned decisions
• Tools: Excel, VBA, R, SQL, Python
