Job Description:

• The Information Security Engineer is responsible for helping to design and deliver a significant component of Bank of America’s information security architecture. You will work with the Program lead on a complex project to perform important Data Protection controls. Knowledge and experience with information security controls, infrastructure and implementation techniques is a key component to this role. In this role you will partner with Data Security Specialists both within GIS and with partner organizations in our technology infrastructure security group to design and deploy data loss prevention (DLP) solutions related to bank database platforms. Specifically you will be working with the IBM Guardium database activity monitoring tool on one of the largest Guardium infrastructures in the world.
• You will be involved with all aspects of the database activity monitoring solution using IBM Guardium to aide in testing, certification and implementation of Guardium on a variety of database platforms.

• Understanding of database technologies
• Understanding of database activity monitoring
• Ability to learn, design, test, and document complex technical products
• Ability to navigate and work effectively across a complex, geographically dispersed organization
• Strong communication and customer relationship skills
• Knowledge of change and project management methodologies and principles
• Demonstrated ability to self-direct project outcomes, with minimal supervision
• Excellent process design capability to improve overall efficiency, mitigate resource conflicts, and improve customer/client experience

Desired Skills:

• Experience with the IBM Guardium database activity monitoring/ or similar product
• Experience with SIEM systems including Splunk or ArcSight
• Experience with a database technology such as Oracle, SQL Server, Mainframe DB2/IMS, HADOOP, Postgres, MongoDB, Cassandra
