Websphere Administrator (Closed)
Our client is looking for a Webpshere Administrator for a contract to hire position in Jacksonville, FL
JOB DUTIES:
•Install and configure Apache, Websphere 6.1, Websphere 7, IHS6 and IHS7.
•Install and Configure Third party software on Unix, Linux and NT or Intel Servers.
•Administer WebLogic and WebSphere environments for several in-house-developed and vendor-supplied applications.
•Assist in setting-up/verifying the Windows, Unix and Linux application environment.
•Automate the administration of the application run-time environment where possible.
•Provide production control support primarily in the Unix, Windows, and Linux application server environment.
•Ability to install, configure and support any type of application server software whether it be vendor specific or a proprietary product as long as proper specs and internal resource guidance are provided
•Proactive monitoring and support of the Websphere environments.
•Performance tuning of the Websphere Environment and the deployed applications.
•Provide direction and training to application development teams in the Unix and application server environment.
•Evaluate software packages, ensuring that they fit within the architecture and infrastructure.
•Provide timely and accurate on-call support for production infrastructure components.
•Provide training or mentoring to large groups on tools or architecture concepts as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
•8+ years of experience administering WebSphere environment.
•5+ years of experience administering MQ Series
•Experience in configuring, monitoring and tuning WebSphere domain in a cluster and high-available environment
QUALIFICATIONS:
•In-depth understanding of WebSphere Configuration, Administration and run-time environment.
•In-depth knowledge of Windows, Unix and LINUX environment from a system administration and architecture perspective.
•Knowledge of Netscaler configurations
•In-depth understanding of the Windows, Unix and LINUX file system
•In-depth knowledge of Medicare systems i.e. CEMA, CEMB and 5010 EDI systems
•Knowledge of the Deltek Time and Expense applications.
•Windows and Korn shell programming is required; Perl programming a plus.
oSenior level experience in Application Server Administration, prefer WebSphere.
oLeadership skills to work with multiple support and application teams.
•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
•Superior communication skills both written and oral
•Superior analytical and troubleshooting skills
