Warehouse Management Systems Architect (Closed)

The SkillStorm customer is seeking a Warehouse Management Systems Architect who will be responsible for defining, designing, configuring, and implementing warehouse management technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with customers, logistics management and personel, and/or business analysts to gather Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or Operations requirements.
  • Design and develop warehousing solutions that are repeatable and meet customer requirements for processing.
  • Design scalable and manageable interfaces with the supported suite of Manhattan Associates applications.
  • Configure Manhattan Associates suite of applications: WMS, TMS, Supply Chain Intelligence, and Labor Management.
  • Manage relationship with Manhattan Associates to drive new features and functionality in future releases that is beneficial to company’s requirements.
  • Develop and provide system documentation as needed.
  • Monitor and refine processes, procedures, and systems to optimize system effectiveness and/or integrity and recommends/implements improvements where required.
  • Monitor and recommend new technologies in the Warehouse Management industry, such as RFID, 2D bar codes, etc.
  • Keep supply chain knowledge current by participating in organizations such as SCORE.
  • Assist with development of training materials and standard operating procedures for the warehouse associates.
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Required ability to interface with all levels of employees and management.
  • Demonstrate good teamwork and provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced staff members.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university and 5+ years or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong understanding and experience implementing Manhattan Associates ILS application.
  • Strong understanding of related Manhattan Associate modules, TMS, Supply Chain Intelligence, and Labor Management.
  • Proven ability to work in a demanding, high paced environment.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective communication at all levels.
  • Understanding of systems analysis and design (hardware, software, policies, procedure and data).
  • Ability to learn new hardware systems, programming languages and business processes quickly via varied mediums (verbal instruction, technical reading and immersion training).
  • Good technical and professional communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to effectively train new technologies to technical employees as well as explain the core concepts to non-technical employees.
  • Ability to work on multiple priorities involving different skill sets simultaneously.
  • Ability to research, develop and manage systems unsupervised.
  • Strong business planning, analytical, financial, and conceptual skills.
  • Ability to emphasize structure, process and methodology.
  • Ability to communicate strategically with senior management in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding and support.
  • Customer service oriented.
  • Ability to build credibility with users and capable of being a marketer and educator to users of the information systems.
  • Ability to effectively adapt to and apply rapidly changing technology to business needs.
