VMware Engineer (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a VMware Engineer our client in Jersey City, NJ. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description:

• Support high quality architecture solutions for large End User Computing (EUC) multi-generational programs spanning one or more business domains to support organizational missions
• Work on multiple projects utilizing waterfall and agile methodologies to provide target-state backing that best fit the business requirements and align to enterprise goals
• Thoroughly understand and possess SME level experience with VMware Horizon View and Citrix Published Application
• Provide senior level Tier 3 technical infrastructure support services for issues, ensure reliable operation of production, and help diagnose
• Help implement global VMware Horizon View solution
• Maintain a high degree of ownership and transparency
• Help champion engineering best-practices, tooling, efficiency, and continuous improvement
• Automate unite and integration tests within a CI/CD pipeline
• Proactively identify and implement process improvements for the way test and deploy updates
• Test, install, and migrate software, patches, upgrades, applications, and/or hardware to support the platform
• Write documentation, including installation procedures, and troubleshooting tips. Maintain, monitor, and tune production system for optimal performance. Identify opportunities to improve system and application performance (e.g., automating manual system tasks).
• Learns and understands client area business functions and requirements. Has the ability to determine the appropriate technical path forward for platform adoption. Stay abreast of product upgrades, releases and overall industry trends.
