Test Engineer (Closed)
SkillStorm is seeking a Performance Tester for our client in Jersey City, NJ. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.
Job Description:
- Create, maintain and execute test scripts; ensure that testing activities allow applications to meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfill end-user requirements;
- Conduct all types of application testing as needed, such as integration, system, regression, new functionality and performance testing.
- Work with appropriate technology team members to determine the acceptable range for test results and performance.
- Discover, track and verify defects ensuring that they are prioritized, scheduled, and communicated to development in a timely fashion.
- Administer/configure test environment resources to ensure that the environment is adequate for testing.
- Produce clear and accurate defect reports detailing software and functional issues based on testing results.
- Willing to learn and share the FIT knowledge and working experience
Experience And Skill Sets:
- Working knowledge of UNIX
- Experience testing C++ / Java / Python
- Experience with defect tracking tools
- Experience with Relational Databases and SQL
- Experience with SDM, Agile, test and test data automation, and Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)
- Knowledge of Fixed Income products (Treasury, Agency, Swaps, FX, MoneyMarket, SOFR etc.)
- Knowledge of Hedge concept
- Experience of FI Markets/ECNs (Cantor, CME BrokerTec, TradeWeb, CBOT, CME, etc.)
- Experience with testing trade/order processing applications
- Experience with testing Bloomberg FIT applications is big plus
- Experience with firewall / application proxy connectivity testing is big plus
- Hands on testing experience on electronic application is big plus
- Familiarity with publish/subscribe message systems
- Three years direct experience as a test engineer for major application integration and/or major application product release
- Knowledge of system testing and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills;
- Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.
- Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Experience working with remote/virtual teams
- Solid experience with Functional, Regression, Performance, and Failover testing
