Technical / System Analyst (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a Technical / System Analyst for our client in Charlotte, NC. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description:

  • This position is for a Technical / System Analyst who will act as the primary interface with Product partners, Architects, Vendor Technology teams and other cross-organizational technology teams. The Technical System Analyst will analyze current processes and systems, assessing the business model and its integration with technology. The Analyst will be responsible for working with stakeholders to understand their needs, analyze problems, and capture their requirements, and then working closely with the Technology Team(s) to refine the requirement into specifications that can be executed by the team. The Analyst will likely be part of an Agile Scrum team, collaborating with the Product Owner to evaluate the Features, write effective user stories, document business rules; and with the Developers to review technical design, identify enablers and dependencies.
  • This role is within the Global Trade and Supply Chain Finance technology organization where the Analyst will be involved in Trade Finance related products. This is a highly visible role which will face off directly with Client Facing Channels platforms and also coordinating with BackOffice Operations partners.

Required Skills:

  • Must have excellent analytical skills and at least 5-7 years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst, working closely with business partners to elicit requirements, document process flows, identify risks and mitigation and participate in definition of strategies for the technical solution.
  • Collaborate with multiple teams to drive to common understanding of functionality and requirements, to maintain focus on the delivery, and ensure meeting the business goals.
  • Experience working directly with business partners to document detailed functional and technical requirements. Ability to learn and document new processes and communicate it effectively to Technology and other Stakeholders in the team.
  • Ability to meet aggressive deadlines while managing multiple responsibilities and competing priorities
  • Provides support to UAT and SIT testers to clarify requirements and determine whether a defect is a new requirement, or truly a defect.
  • Ability to communicate and work with Testers to ensure that test plans and scripts satisfy the requirements.
  • Self-motivated and requires minimal supervision.
  • Good problem solving and conflict resolution skills and ability to work in ambiguous environment to help drive clarity.
  • Ability to analyze existing capabilities and identify gaps and opportunities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and ability to facilitate discussions.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience working on Vendor Application Onboarding and working through various Bank’s Risk and Compliance processes is highly desired
  • High level Trade Finance and Supply Chain Finance knowledge and experience
  • Working knowledge of Agile tools such as JIRA.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, feature writing, story grooming and sprint planning.
  • Engages with Tech team to review and analyze production issues to determine root cause.
  • Help define Roadmap Strategy for existing and new products.
