Technical Project Manager (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a Technical Project Manager for our client in New York, NY. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description:

  • Responsible for driving effective planning, delivery, governance/reporting and financial management across specific large projects/programs within the ETT Book of work. The role combines a traditional project/program management focus with an agile skillset and the ability to work across product lines. The successful applicant would be required to liaise with developers, business analysts, other technology project managers and key business stakeholders to track and resolve risks/issues and clear obstacles to delivery. They will face-off to MD-level business and technology stakeholders and would require the gravitas and communication skills to operate effectively at that level.

Desired Skills:

  • The role requires an experienced PM with an understanding of both program delivery, governance, and the equities electronic trading business environment. This should be combined with an understanding of Agile methodologies and a familiarity with Scrum Master activities. The following will be key components of the role:
  • Coordinates and facilitates routines to support delivery – e.g. kick-offs, status reviews, stakeholder meetings, change controls, tollgates, etc.
  • Plans and coordinates delivery and dependencies with across multiple teams.
  • Facilitates dependency management/risk management/impediment removal for the defined deliverables.
  • Promotes/facilitates communication and collaboration across organizations to support the deliverable completion and timeline.
  • Gathers/facilitates status updates for the deliverables to stakeholders and leadership pertaining to delivery, risks/issues, and schedule.
  • Ensures that execution is aligned with deliverable requirements by working with the sponsor/stakeholders.
  • Ensures deliverables comply with Enterprise Change Management standards.
  • Supports resource planning for delivery/execution.
