Technical Data Analyst (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a Business / Data Analyst for our client in Charlotte, NC. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description:

• Assists with development of data applications in the data flow for a data domain. Supports data domain adherence to EDM Standards, including implementation and monitoring of all required transport controls and maintenance of all required metadata. Assists in remediation of data incidents.

Required Skills:

• business analysis skills
• Support data quality, data movement, data analysis and business intelligence initiatives
• Develop and influence business processes necessary to support business needs and support governance standards
• Prioritization and assessment of business risk
• Prior Experience in the Banking Industry is preferred

Communication / Writing Skills:

• Create both visually and verbally engaging informative materials for collaborating departmental leadership, business partners, executives and stakeholders
• Partner with internal Tech ADS teammates to support the prioritization, development and implementation of controls deliverables
• Document key controls execution processes and controls gaps
• Collaborate on writing analytics / controls metrics user guides and controls playbooks

Technical Skills:

• Perform complex data movement and quality analysis which may require extensive controls process / technology analysis and research
• SQL Skills are required to include a working knowledge of Hadoop/Hive and Oracle/Exadata is preferred
• MS Visio, PPT, Excel and Word
• Jira / Agile development background

Desired Skills:

• Hands-on experience with a scripting languages (e.g. Python)
• Hands-on API, Hadoop, Oracle development skills

Top 3 required IT/Technical skill-sets:

• Perform complex data movement and data quality analysis on large data sets
• SQL Skills with a working knowledge of Hadoop/Hive and Oracle/Exadata
• Jira / Agile development background.
