Technical Business Analyst (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a Technical Business Analyst for our client in Charlotte, NC. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description:

• 7 - 10 years. Provides technical & business systems and software support for modification, implementation, or conversion of business systems. Translates business needs into technical requirements and ensures all systems support and conform to business needs and specifications. Acts as liaison between business unit and software/hardware developers and vendors. Aware of business or function for which application or system is designed. Has the required domain knowledge, as applicable or brings other domain knowledge that improves the overall function of the business to team interface. Constantly looks for ways to improve the interaction with the business and the quality and speed of the requirements gathering and requirements build

Position Summary:

• The agile analyst will work with IT and the Business and tech partners to define and deliver solutions that meet business objectives. Responsible for combining business and technology skills with strong leadership, communication, negotiation, facilitation, and presentation skills. Serves as a servant leader and the ultimate facilitator between Business/dev partners and IT in truly understanding the needs and plays a key role in the overall management and success of a project through the entire project lifecycle. Guides the team to be self organized. Will remove impediments and guide the team to resolve issues or escalate to leadership as needed. Using proven methods and tools, this position leads the planning, eliciting, analyzing, validating and managing of requirements, business processes, high-level solution design, test case design, and implementation planning & support - in partnership with Project Managers, Business Stakeholders, and IT interfacing groups. This position may also be called upon to lead other IT project work based on changing project demands.

Required Skills:

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent 4 year experience in related field.

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years experience in a technical product manager role in a project-based environment.

Field Of Expertise:

• Experience in working on multiple projects at the same time.
• Strong understanding of agile and waterfall methodologies and working experience in agile tools like JIRA is preferable
• Good time management skills; ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
• Ability to communicate effectively at different levels within the organization, assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information
• Previous success working in a dynamic environment with the ability to adapt to changing priorities
• Ability to assess the scrum maturity of the team and organization and support the team to reach higher levels of maturity at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable.
• Fluent in technology and strong knowledge of project and software development methodologies / techniques.
• Solid presentation, facilitation, interview, and workshop skills. Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-management skills.
• Intermediate Word. Intermediate Excel.

Desired Skills:

• JIRA agile tool, functional process flowcharts, Agile software delivery practices, MS Office. A plus if any experience in programming, architecture, QA, project mgmt
• Has a functional understanding of networking and API functionality
• Understands the basics of a modern frontend javascript framework
• Can communicate technical concepts to non technical audiences and back
• Has a refined sense of intellectual curiosity, willing to put in the time and effort to understand the systems, application and processes supported by the team.
• Background in reporting functions, report generation, metrics definition and visualization
• Has experience with application or software development practices and routines
