System Administrator (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a Systems Administrator for our client in Vienna, Virginia. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Location:

• Temporary Remote Delivery, eventually returning to Vienna VA office.

Responsibilities:

• We are looking for a Systems Administrator to support a Department of the Treasury program whose mission is to safeguard the financial system from illicit use and to combat money laundering and promote national security through the collection, analysis and dissemination of financial intelligence, and the strategic use of financial authorities. This program carries out its mission by receiving and maintaining financial reports and other critical data provided by financial institutions, analyzing and disseminating that data for law enforcement and regulatory purposes, and building global cooperation with counterpart organizations in other countries and associated international bodies.
• Work in a diverse technical environment troubleshooting existing systems and identifying/resolving issues
• Support the database infrastructure (Oracle, PostgreSQL)
• Work with software engineers, data analytics teams, data scientists in order to understand and aid in the implementation of database requirements, analyze performance, and troubleshoot any existing issues
• Develop, construct, test and maintain architecture, such as databases and large-scale processing systems

Basic Qualifications:

• TS/SCI Clearance
• 3-5 years experience and a BS degree in Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or another quantitative discipline
• Basic networking skills
• Exposure to Elasticsearch, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Hadoop
• Proficiency in bash scripting
• Proficiency debugging web applications
• Experience with RedHat Enterprise Linux
• Experience troubleshooting Tomcat / Apache

Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS experience

Clearance Requirement:

• Active TS/SCI
