Storage Operations Engineer (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a Storage Operations Engineer for our client in Jersey City, New Jersey OR Jacksonville, Florida OR Charlotte, North Carolina OR Addison, Texas. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Description:

• Senior Storage Operations Engineer
• Responsible to implement the backup designs provided by the bank engineering. To include when implementing the designs, they meet all internal security guidelines. Furthermore, Responsible to ensure automation and reporting is implemented. Finally, overall governing of daily operations routines to include train backup operations team. This will be mainly focused on the new backup environment with Cohesity.

Must-Have Skillsets:

• At least 7 years of experience building, implementing and designing systems at an enterprise level
• At least 1 year of experience using Cohesity or similar backup tools strongly preferred (NetBackup or Avamar)
• At least 5 years of experience implementing Linux Operating Systems and strong understanding of Linux Internals
• Coding experience (python, bash and basic SQL)
• Experience with Data Domain devices
• Strong Networking understanding
• Strong written and communication skills
