Storage Architect-Philadelphia (Closed)
Our customer is seeking a Storage Architect.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for providing and deploying technical architectures that deliver the highest value solutions
- Interact with IT engineering and architecture teams to ensure the continuity of solutions within the client data center
- Consult on storage infrastructure and operational solutions tailored to meet the customer’s needs
- Integration of solutions into the customers IT Service Management (ITSM) data center services
- Being trusted advisor to the customer and account team
- Being an advocate of the customer’s infrastructure needs to the Account Team
- Project planning for tasks of moderate to high complexity
- Project Management, including building project plans and tracking scope, scheduling, and budgeting during delivery
- Configuration of hardware and software products
- Requirements analysis and gathering technical details regarding a customer’s environment
- Implementation of backup and restore, disaster recovery, storage consolidation, data protection, storage performance, etc.
- Optimization such as upgrades, performance monitoring, and system audit tasks
- Customer support escalations, including advanced troubleshooting, data collection, forensics and problem resolution
- Mentor of any Resident Engineers or Admins on the account/project
- Technical lead for the delivery team (PSE/PSAdmins) throughout the engagement
- Perform enterprise class assessments (objectives, data collection, analysis, reporting against objectives)
- Leverage Project Delivery Methodology (PDM – Assess, Consult, Deploy, Close/Transition)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent experience is required
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Experience with direct management of individuals and experience in driving the activities of multi-person customer, partner, and consulting teams
- Ability to embed himself/herself into the client’s design team
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to exchange information with team members, systems administrators, management, and the customer
- Ability to work with a customers’ technical representatives under a variety of circumstances to understand their requirements
- Ability to collaborate and share knowledge with technical team members and managers
- Excellent leadership and sales skills
- NAS; Admin; Ops Manager; SnapMirror; SnapManager Exchange (SME); SnapManager SharePoint; SnapManager SQL; SnapManager Virtual Infrastructure (SMVI); SnapVault
Active Directory; CIFS; Microsoft Exchange; Project Management; VMware; DFS - A minimum of 8+ years of experience is required
- Networking and Fiber Chanel experience
- NCDA Certified preferred
- NCIE Certifications preferred
- ITILv3 foundation Certified preferred
- ITILv3 Intermediate level certification for ITL Lifecycle stream in the following 2 streams is required: Service Transition, Service Operations, and Other Certifications TBD
- MCP, MCSA and MCSE Certifications are a plus
- Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, complex technical projects
