SQA Test Manager (Closed)
SkillStorm is seeking a SQA Test Manager for our client in Charlotte, NC. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.
Job Description:
- Quality Assurance Leader who is able to influence across platforms, disciplines, including technology and business leaders and partners; Oversees ALL testing efforts, activities, tasks and deliverables for all participating testing teams for the initiative; including large transformation efforts; senior engineers, leads a team of analysts including architecting overall testing and system strategies for automation, test coverage, regulatory controls, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Manage testing throughout all test cycles/phases within an Agile delivery methodology to ensure completion of all test deliverables
- Provide consolidated test execution status for the initiative
- Act as central communication point for testing to include reporting to executive steering committees; defining overall strategies, and operating in a leadership capacity
- Escalate risks/ issues identified during testing to appropriate parties
- Communicate test condition changes to application test leads (e.g., changes to timeframes, environment changes/issues, etc. )
- Create consolidated defect reporting
- Lead cross team defect management meeting if required
- Point of contact for all testing related deliverables and activities for the initiative
- Provides consolidated view of testing execution and defects to Project / Change Managers and test organization management
- Escalation point for test related issues / concerns
- Test Management
- Act as single point of contact for all testing for the initiative
- Facilitate testing effort for an initiative across multiple applications
- Establish and facilitate communication between test teams
- Responsible for full end to end testing view of the initiative
- Confirm availability of test resources (people, environments, data, etc.)
- Communicate overall initiative test schedule to all appropriate parties
- Track status and completion of test deliverables across teams for the initiative
- Provide status of end to end testing efforts for all application testing
Required Skills:
- Experience in Agile delivery methodology and Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery Strong PM knowledge, ability to lead a team and drive to results
- Must have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must possess analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills
- Strong project financial management skills
- Experience in tracking the tasks and progress of a major project, escalating and resolving issues, planning for and managing resources and funding
- Ability to provide project status on deliverables or escalate issues to sr. leaders and executives
- Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) proficient
- 5+ years of End-2-End Project Management experience
