Launch your software career with a company built to do exactly that.
SkillStorm develops technology talent for Fortune 100 enterprises and U.S. government agencies. You'll complete 12 weeks of paid, hands-on training on real, team-based projects, then deploy directly to an enterprise or government client, effective day one. You don't pay for this. It's a paid role with a clear path from "qualified" to "deployed professional."
We're looking for people at the start of their technical careers, including recent graduates, career changers with a technical foundation, and transitioning service members and veterans, who have the fundamentals, the drive, and want a structured route into enterprise software work.
Are you eligible? You likely are if you have either of the following:
- A bachelor's degree in a related technical field (Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or similar)
- At least 1 year of technical work experience
You'll also need a working grasp of programming fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, databases and SQL, and software development in an object-oriented language like Java or C#.
Every applicant who meets one of those paths gets an individual review for fit. Not sure if you qualify? Apply anyway. That decision is ours to make, so don't rule yourself out.
What a strong fit looks like:
- Sharp problem-solving and logical reasoning skills
- Clear written and verbal communication with teammates and stakeholders
- Ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance
- Willingness to relocate for client placement
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. on SkillStorm's W2 (not a C2C arrangement)
Veterans and transitioning service members: Structured training, a clear mission, clearance-eligible work, and relocation support make this model a natural match for how you already operate. We actively want you in this pipeline.
Your work once deployed:
- Build and enhance applications with the languages, frameworks, and tools your client uses
- Write clean, efficient, well-structured code that meets professional standards
- Troubleshoot and fix defects, and provide technical support and resolution
- Take part in code reviews, giving and receiving constructive feedback
- Work with stakeholders to turn business requirements into technical specifications
- Support testing and production deployments, and maintain technical documentation
- Stay current on industry tools and techniques through ongoing training
Why candidates choose SkillStorm:
- Competitive salary: a paid role from day one, not training you pay for
- Enterprise-grade technology training and certifications
- Work with Fortune 100 companies and government agencies
- Health, vision, dental, and life insurance, plus a 401(k)
- Ongoing mentorship and support through training and placement
