| CMDB/CSDM Architect – Project (Short Version) |
| The CMDB Project Architect is knowledgeable in processes supporting and deploying the CMDB and CSDM Framework. The Project Architect provides leadership to the team. |
| A Project Architect may perform the follow activities under their scope of responsibility. |
| · Conduct CMDB workshop to demonstrate the functions and capabilities of the tool and to gather client requirements for the new CMDB deployment. |
| · Conduct ServiceNow ITOM workshop to gather requirements for ITOM setup and deployment. |
| · Perform CMDB solution architecture work. Develop functional specifications for requirements related to CMDB scoped work. Define the architecture of tools used to deliver the solution. |
| · Define and design any data model updates, in addition to the structure of the Configuration Management Database itself. |
| · Define architecture Mid-Server placement and the configuration for ServiceNow Discovery/ServiceMapping support. |
| · Define Risk management plan and resolve security issues of the CMDB and ServiceNow ITOM solution. |
| · Create user acceptance testing and training materials. Conduct user training sessions. |
| · Work with stakeholders and other teams to deploy a solution to satisfy the requirements. Assist the stakeholders to define the Configuration Management process that can be supported by the tooling. |
| · Provide PCR solution proposal and effort estimates for custom requirements. |
| · Provide support for complex problems related to the CMDB and ITOM solution that arise during project. |
| · Provide technical oversight of the project deliverables created by the project developers. |
