ServiceNow Architect and Lead Developer (Closed)

Description of Work:

 

The ServiceNow Architect and Lead Developer is the Technical Lead of the ServiceNow Project Team who will be responsible for developing strategy and leading all the facets of technical solutions and strategies for the customer.  The selected candidate will be a hands-on developer and will be providing guidance to other developers and assisting in resolving any development/integration issues.

 

Responsibilities for this position will include:
 

  • Work in tandem with the Project Lead on developing strategies and solutions to be presented to the customer
  • Assist Project Lead in defining schedules and deliverables
  • Lead discovery sessions and process definitions with stakeholders and developers
  • Support the development of processes that can be improved with advanced tools and automation
  • Monitor development work and conduct code/process reviews assigned to team developers
  • Lead efforts in migrating from
  • Lead efforts and provide guidance in requirements gathering and developing/documenting process workflows
  • Recommend and develop POCs for customer demos
  • Develop ServiceNow solutions through DEV, TEST, INT, and PROD using Agile methodologies

 

Basic Qualifications:

Minimum knowledge, skills, abilities needed.

  • Bachelor’s degree and 20 years of relative experience, Master's degree and 18 years of relative experience, or 24 years of relative experience in an IT field in lieu of a degree
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
  • ServiceNow Implementation Specialist Certification in at least 5 areas 
  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS)
  • 5 years of experience in ServiceNow IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Asset Management (ITAM), IT  Operations Management (ITOM), and/or IT Business Management (ITBM)
  • 5 years of experience designing and developing ServiceNow process workflows
  • Familiarity with one or more ServiceNow Platform areas
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Position of Public Trust clearance.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with these skills will be given preferential consideration:

 

  • Experience and proficiency with the following:
    • Agile development
    • System integration (SOAP, REST, Stored Procedures, Queues, etc.)
    • JavaScript
    • HTML for UI Pages, Content Pages
    • ServiceNow integration to Ansible Tower, Active Directory, and Splunk
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with process flow documentation creation, presentation and conducting trainings.
  • Experience with implementing DevOps (Test and CI/CD) in a ServiceNow environment
  • Experience with Oracle and stored procedures using PL/SQL
  • Experience with designing and implementing REST based API integration services
