Scrum Master (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a Scrum Master for our client in Charlotte, NC. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description:

  • EET EDSS Cognitive Scrum Master will be responsible for end-to-end integration and delivery of technology changes, managing of scrum and agile practices within the team and optimization of existing workflows. Other responsibilities include documenting, tracking, and presenting program and team deliverables to Senior Leadership and other key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coaches the team in the agile process and helps apply the principles
  • Coordinates and facilitates scrum team ceremonies including daily stand-ups, story grooming sessions, and retrospectives
  • Helps the team break down stories into a manageable amount of work with clearly defined acceptance criteria that can be used by internal development and testing teams.
  • Ensure team stays on track to meet goals and objectives
  • Manages scope, acts as the voice of the team and protects the team from outside influence and distractions
  • Escalates and resolves team level impediments as appropriate
  • Uses metrics to tracks scrum team performance and reports on team progress
  • Takes accountability for the health of the team and drives for continuous improvement
  • Coordinates estimation of initiative projects
  • Attends prioritization and integration meetings
  • Helps the team prepare for Program Implementation (PI) planning, leads PI breakout sessions and creates the PI plan
  • Works with project and release management team to ensure that the team deliverables meet Enterprise Change Management standards

Required Skills:

  • 7+ years of applicable experience; 3+ years of Agile experience
  • Agile certification
  • Experience writing Agile stories
  • Proficiency in JIRA and Confluence
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and drive consensus amongst business and tech partners in order to meet tight deadlines
  • Translate business requirements into clearly defined stories for technical development and testing
  • Knowledge of Microsoft OS and proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Visio
  • Experience working with distributed teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Project Management Experience

Desired Skills:

  • Hands-on expertise designing and implementing AI conversational experiences via chatbots or virtual assistants, at enterprise scale.
  • Experience designing and implementing NLP applications.
