Release Manager / Analyst (Closed)
SkillStorm is seeking a Release Manager for our client in Charlotte, North Carolina, Richardson, Texas, OR Chandler, Arizona. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.
Description:
- Looking for an experienced Release Manager / analyst who will be responsible for attending all meetings, creating a rollout schedule for desktops across the Enterprise (in phases) Ensuring all testing is performed and signed off on, and a EDR specific Change Requests (CRQs). The resource will have to collaborate & strategize with the business groups and understand business priorities and help the DMO team.
- Oversee all deployment and scheduling aspects and deployment of releases to production
- Act as the Change Coordinator and work closely with Project teams to ensure smooth release
- Acting as a gatekeeper for all in scope Production environments, ensuring proper release procedures are followed
- Analyze software change request in relation to configuration and release management process and strategy
- Ensure that QA is performed on each change request prior to approving the same
- Coordinate with the multiple internal and external change stake holders and communicate and document as per the process
- Own the daily/weekly reporting and change communications, related to the deployment schedule and status of deployment efforts
- Work with the CAB (change advisory board) as per the change request type
- Participate and provide expertise in technical project discussions / release planning with various stakeholders
Required Skills:
- Experience in projects on Build, Release, deployments and deployment automation
- Evaluate production risks associated with production deployment activities
- Support pre-prod environment desktop deployments
- Identify opportunities for the automation of existing deployment processes
- Assist in identifying root cause for deployment-related downtime and participate in after-action reviews for production deployment activities.
- Experience in ITIL process
- Good Communication skills
