SkillStorm is seeking a QA for our client in Charlotte, NC OR Atlanta, GA OR Addison, TX. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description:

  • Position/role will be the involvement in the planning, monitoring and control of the testing activities and tasks across multiple applications for specific portfolios. The individual will lead, guide and monitor the analysis, design, implementation and execution of the test cases, test procedures and test suites. The QA lead establishes metrics, mentors team member and coordinates/collaborates with the interfacing applications and software vendor resources. Individuals will be part of scrum teams, partnering with development to deliver on projects that are a part of integrated releases, monthly application code changes and support break fix work as well. In addition resources will support the automation of scripts, updating and managing them accordingly.

Required Skills:

  • Establish and evolve formal QA processes, ensuring that the team is using industry-accepted best practices.
  • Oversee all aspects of quality assurance including establishing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met
  • Act as key point of contact for all the QA aspects of releases, providing QA services and coordinating QA resources internally and externally. Lead specific business portfolios and mentor the scrum team.
  • Understands end-to-end of the assigned portfolio and defines the scope of the testing within the context of each release/delivery
  • Create and optimize test processes including defect management and reporting.
  • Contribute to building quality into the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) using best practices and tools.
  • Create a test automation strategy across the application stack (UI, API, and Backend, etc.).
  • Create and optimize test automation frameworks and use of test automation tools.
  • Lead test planning for complex features that span across the platform or multiple teams.
  • Ensure alignment and sign off for test cases from business and other stakeholders.
  • Optimize test suites employing techniques such risk-based testing.
  • Manage test execution and assist with resolving, communicating or escalating any issues that may result in test plan variance.
  • Contribute to test data management approach, processes and tools.
  • Condition and generate test data and ensure data compliance requirements are met on all levels of test environments. Assist in identifying and managing sensitive test data.
  • Participate in triaging reported issues/defects and assist with resolving or escalating them as necessary.
  • 10-12 years of hands on experience in payment space, especially for the merchants.
  • Proven experience with ALM, JIRA, qTest
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with quick adaptation to new technologies, methodologies, and systems
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills with the ability to convey message to a broad audience
  • Ability to work in a cross functional, collaborative team environment
  • Seeks out best practices to find opportunities for improvements in test execution process

  • Primary Expertise
  • Test Lead defines the strategies to ensure the product being released is up to industry and company standards
  • Experience with Test Automation, scripting and Regression testing.
  • Experience with defect management systems such as ALM or JIRA.
  • Waterfall and Agile methodologies
  • Working knowledge with QA automation tools such as Selenium, TOSCA, QTP
  • Functional Knowledge of Banking / Payments Domain
