SkillStorm is seeking a QA for our client in Jersey City, NJ. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description:

  • 5+ years as Quality Assurance Application Tester
  • You can collaborate with the development team to plan and execute functional testing services.
  • You understand the needs of Quality Assurance to ensure standard quality practices/processes are followed.
  • You possess a background in developing automation testing solutions to reduce repetitive manual work to enhance team productivity.
  • You can understand and thoroughly analyze the business and/or technical requirements, use cases, business and technical process flows to come up with appropriate testing scenarios.
  • You can plan, execute, document and evidence the testing plan and outcomes.
  • You possess a foundational understanding of the Finance (Collateral) business and/or the technical domain.
  • You understand the needs of the stakeholders as well as the technology boundaries to help create a solution to solve a problem.
  • You can test the application(s) and troubleshoot problems identified during the testing to then work with the technology team to resolve, including documenting the issue.
  • You have a strong understanding of agile methodology, with an emphasis on test driven development & continuous integration.
  • You have at least 5 years of successfully delivering technical solutions.
  • You are a creative and proactive problem solver with the ability to quickly grasp what the team needs and offer suggestions above and beyond what they are asking for.
  • You are fluent in data analytics which includes the ability to use tools like SQL, Python scripting and data manipulation in Excel.
  • You are proficient with using Microsoft Office tools like Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • You have an innovative mindset. Not afraid to ask why and question established practices, always looking to own and improve quality.
  • You are a good team player and collaborative. You will be expected to liaise with both technical and business colleagues locally in the US and at other locations in UK, India, and Singapore. You will work as part of a wider technology team spread across these locations.
  • You are a good communicator to teammates, management and business stakeholders.
  • You are broadly skilled who can pick up new concepts and apply them to your day to day work.
  • You can work independently
