SkillStorm is seeking a QA for our client in Jersey City, NJ. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description:

  • Must have Strong hands on ETL /Informatica/PL SQL/Reporting testing experience with knowledge of Star schemas, Snowflake schemas and ETL concepts.
  • Strong hands on experience in writing SQL queries and be able to understand PL/SQL code
  • Onshore/offshore coordination experience with ability to collaborate with internal and external integrated teams
  • Must have Autosys and Shell Scripting experience
  • Must have Agile Experience
  • Must have working knowledge in Jira and Test Management tool like Qtest
  • Strong Functional/Regression/End To End Integration Testing concepts (experience with STLC lifecycle)
  • Must have experience in creating Test Data for positive and negative testing scenarios.
  • Ability to walkthrough; demo uses cases and testing results to project team
  • Automation knowledge/experience (must) – preferably TOSCA (UFT – good to have)
  • Working Knowledge with QA Deliverables tool set (SharePoint, Microsoft Project/Excel, Test Management tool- Qtest).
  • Methodologies and Agile tools (Jira). Knowledge of Defect management process and Enterprise Testing standards.
  • Utilizes in-depth knowledge of testing best practices and defect management.
  • Develops detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test cases based on functional requirements
  • Contributes to test planning, and when part of a Scrum team, builds test cases for stories in the given sprint as per story acceptance criteria.
  • Participates in test case reviews and makes necessary updates
  • Builds and uses test data required to accomplish execution of test cases
  • Executes test cases, including manual and automated tests, and records test results
  • Test new and existing features, debug code (units and integration) and report errors and failures
  • Work collaboratively with the development team for defect triaging
  • Execute all levels of testing (Functional, Integration, and Regression)
  • Design, develop, execute automation scripts when needed
  • Ownership in end-end testing
  • Detect and track software defects and inconsistencies; provide timely solutions
  • Apply quality principles throughout the Agile product lifecycle with the appropriate support and documentation
  • Ensure that all the standards and process are being implemented within a projects
  • Excellent verbal and written skills, to include advanced interpersonal and proven presentation skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities on an ongoing basis
  • Ability to be self-directed to complete assigned activities
