SkillStorm is seeking a QA for our client in Newark, DE. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description:

  • Responsible for the QA deliverables in conducting end-to-end testing on digital applications integrated across various other downstream applications, to ensure that business, technical, functional & compliance requirements are being met throughout the SDLC.
  • Builds and executes both manual and automated test suites, record and communicate the test results, and assist with triaging defects. Ensures regression test suites are maintained and well designed.
  • Leads test case reviews and works with subject matter experts and stakeholders to ensure test coverage. Identifies automation opportunities and develops test automation for applicable test types. Contribute in story grooming & ensure stories are well refined and contains clear acceptance criteria. Ensures in-scope and out-of-scope items are clearly identified during test planning.
  • Effectively communicate risk and status to senior project management and executives.
  • Work with their peers across the organization to drive test efficiencies, improve frameworks, and enhance the enterprise testing process.
  • Expected to learn the business and technical components of an application and prepare the test data using data queries & tools which can be Web or Mainframe applications. Designs test data and ensures data compliance requirements are met on all levels of test environments including production.

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of proven software testing experience
  • Strong experince within the Agile Methodology.
  • Quick learner and self starter who requires minimal supervision to excel in a dynamic environment
  • Deep understanding of the software development and QA life cycle processes (including test planning, test case design, execution, defect tracking and reporting)
  • Strong knowledge of tools such as JIRA, Qtest, HP ALM, Rally
  • Prior experience driving issue resolutions/triages with development teams internal and external & project teams
  • Prior experience in Automation testing (Selenium/UFT) including creating automated test cases
  • Prior experience of leading test efforts in an agile room
  • Prior experience in Data Conditioning or querying tools (e.g., TSYS)
  • Prior experience in testing Customer facing applications
  • Ability to demo the application to Line of Business, project or audit teams with deep understanding on the data and system interactions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills interact across all levels from junior members at onshore/offshore to senior management
  • Analyze data to identify areas for improvement in the quality of the system.
  • Adaptive, flexible and comfortable working in a matrix environment as a Sr. teammember or an individual contributor.
  • Organized and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly motivated, able to work independently
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Experience with Onshore/Offshore model
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, communicates effectively, builds relationships, influences others
  • Ability to learn and adapt to changes
  • Proven ability to work on testing projects of all sizes

Desired Skills:

  • Domain knowledge of banking applications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science.
  • Accessibility tools knowledge
