SkillStorm is seeking a QA for our client in Charlotte, North Carolina. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Position Summary:

• The Data Transmission Services team provides enterprise solutions allowing internal business applications to securely exchange data with their external partners. The candidate will provide Testing support for the various Transmission Platforms within the Bank which include Production support-Smoke Test. Ability to work under minimal supervision on complex projects and tasks. Provide front-end and back-end testing support for software applications on diverse development platforms, hardware, technologies and tools.

Role / Responsibilities Overview:

• Conducting end-to-end testing on applications and technology to ensure that business, technical, and functional requirements are being met throughout the SDLC
• Design, build and execute test scripts based upon test strategy/plans in an effort to identify defects prior to production deployment
• Capable of multi-tasking and prioritizing efficiently.
• Identify and develop ways to improve the quality, capability or efficiency of the testing process
• Enjoy working with new and emerging technologies.
• Working in a fast-paced, evolving, growing and dynamic environment.
• Must be an excellent collaborator with strong communication skills.
• Role / Responsibilities Overview:
• Work with Data Engineers, Developers, DBA’s as part of Database Design and Development
• Develop and maintain Enterprise Data Models for Enterprise wide Data Initiatives
• Developing and enforcing data modeling standards and best practices
• Data Architect will be responsible for the mapping of data sources, data movement, interfaces, and analytics, with the goal of ensuring data quality.
• Collaborate with project managers, address data related problems in regards to systems integration and compatibility, as well as act as a leader for coaching, training and providing support for the development team

Required Skills:

• Linux, Unix, Windows
• Oracle RDMBS
• UNIX Shell and Perl scripting
• Agile practices (Horizon/Jira)
• 8 to 10 years of experience in Back and Front-end Testing
• Automation with Selenium, Cucumber-Java, Gherkins
• Web service and API testing (manual and automation)
• IBM SI experience with SSP and EA Cluster from the installation perspective
• Ability to liaise and work with remote team
• Good communication and problem solving skills

Desired Skills:

• SDM/Horizon automation
• Knowledge of creating test cases in J-Unit or N-Unit
• Knowledge of IBM Connect:Direct
• Load testing using Apache J-meter
• Knowledge of Encryption software like PGP
• Knowledge IBM/Sterling's Sterling Integrator 4.x/5.x
• Understanding of networking concepts such as firewalls, proxies, etc. (Intermediate)
