Python Engineer (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a Python Engineer for our client in Pennington, New Jersey. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Description:

• The Senior Software Engineer will provide daily development and support of the SDLC platform responsible for the end to end delivery of software across the Enterprise. The role requires hands on design, development and support of cross-functional, multi-platform application systems.

Responsibilities / Skills:

• SDLC tools (CI/CD/Test Management) configuration and integration of these tools with other systems
• Infrastructure automation through scripting (e.g. shell, Python, PowerShell) and Ansible
• Management of continuous build, test and deploy processes
• Implementation/support of 3rd party API integrations
• Work with agile/iterative methodologies
• Partner directly with other Software Engineers, Quality Engineers, and Product Owners to understand features and continuously identify opportunities to build and deploy software solutions
• Collaborate with internal teams or vendors to execute projects
• Extensive experience with full-stack Python technologies, including Python, HTML5, and Web API
• Expertise in developing REST APIs using Python
• Experience using BDD and TDD tools like pytest
• Experience in using Bitbucket, JIRA, Jenkins and Ansible Tower
• Experience with Oracle PLSQL
• Excellent troubleshooting skills from all stacks including web, software, systems, and network
• Code solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
• Document and communicate required information for deployment, maintenance, support, and business functionality
• Performance tuning
• Good communication skills
• Familiar with agile development methodology and Jira tool
