SkillStorm is seeking a Python Developer for our client in New York, NY. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description:

• Americas linear rates team uses spreadsheet based applications to maintain trading processes and monitor risk & Pnl for intraday/EOD. Due to criticality/reliability of these application for front office tradng desks, we need candidate who can actively help in testing/validating these applications/processes by creating re-usable components/tool. This person will also liaison with Quants, development & business user based out of NY
• The Americas Linear Rates team is looking for an experienced Python developer for the role of Contractor – Application Programmer to develop and maintain testing processes and applications on Python. Key responsibilities include developing tools, applications and processes on Python for use in Trade pricing, marking and risk generation. The ideal candidate will have experience in full stack development and have demonstrated experience in building applications and tools for front office users. Experience with and working knowledge of front office Excel/VBA tools a plus.

Required Skills:

• Excellent programming skills with 5+ years of development experience on Excel-VBA with at least 4+ years of Python experience
• Experience with Windows Server, Citrix and various version of Excel and Excel addins
• Demonstrated experience in working on business facing projects related to trading systems and/or market risk
• Proactive attitude and strong troubleshooting skills a must
• Experience in development in any object oriented programming languages
• Knowledge of Python or Java / Unix Scripting.

Desired Skills:

• Exposure to Derivatives/Investment Banking Domain
• Exposure to Global Markets in financial asset class
• Experience in automation testing tool – Test Complete/ Selenium/ QTP/ Cucumber/Manual Testing
• Experience in API , Database Testing & Performance Testing
