Python Developer (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a Python Developer for our client in Charlotte, NC. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description:

  • The selected candidate will be an individual contributor responsible for development of the Activity Based Costing Datamart. This is an exciting project which will make GT&O costs more transparent to our clients and executive leadership. You may have taken the Activity Based Costing Surveys. This development team takes that data, combines with other data, and will create new cost reporting for all of GT&O. We continually look for innovative ways to make this process better and you can bring your ingenuity to this effort. Candidate will be a member of a small team of developers and data analysts who support development of the Tech ADS. Candidate will be responsible for a wide range of programming tasks and technologies including Exadata, Python, etc. Candidate will be involved in design, code, test and level 2/3 support of the data warehouse. In addition to development, the candidate will be responsible for partnering with the business to ensure requirements are met and with other functional areas of technology (QA, Production Support) to ensure effective implementation.
  • Team uses an Agile development process.

Required Skills:

  • Requires 4+ years of development experience
  • SQL, Oracle
  • Linux
  • Java, Python, Perl, Shell scripting
  • Experience working as part of an Agile team and using Agile SDLC tools (Jira, etc.)

Desired Skills:

  • Data Warehousing
  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering or other quantitative discipline
  • Experience with BI Platforms such as MicroStrategy or Tableau
  • Working experience with Git, Jira, Confluence.
