Python Developer (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a Python Developer for our client in Jersey City, NJ. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description:

• The primary technology used is Python that leverages the bank’s proprietary Quartz platform and Database technologies like Exadata, Sybase, SQL Server. Candidate is expected to engage with Trading Desk, Market Risk, Finance and other business groups in this role and also expected to manage resources both in US and in India. Good understanding of OOP fundamentals, Data structures, Design patterns. Ability to analyze, design, develop and troubleshoot new and existing applications.
• The role will encompass designing and developing solutions, enhancing automated testing capabilities. Since the changes will be done in a Python/Quartz application, solid Python experience is highly desired, and the team is open to considering proven software engineers transitioning from other languages like Java, C++.
• The ideal candidate will join a wider organization which spans the globe in locations including London, New York, India
• Flexible to adopt new technologies. Investment banking / financial background. Preference for people who have Investment Banking domain experience

Required Skills:

• Previous experience within Client and MBAM is a plus
• Previous experience with Municipal Bond and Bloomberg applications is a plus
• Knowledge of Client SDM methodology and Program / Project Governance requirements is a plus.

Desired Skills:

• Agile, Fixed Income (Municipals), and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Microsoft Project, etc.)
• 7 Years’ experience in Project Management / Process Management
