Python Developer (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a Python Developer for our client in Charlotte, NC OR Addison, TX. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description:

• The Python Developer will design and implement containerized application using Python.
• You will work to build a new catalog of services for automating platform onboarding.
• Application will be scalable, reusable, system agnostic and will simplify the offerings for both internal bank systems and external systems. Our ideal candidate with have extensive microservices experience and demonstrated success building containers for large, complex and interdependent systems.

Responsibilities:

• Build quality, well thought out microservices that are scalable and reusable by multiple calling systems
• Work around various platforms and understand the unique needs for each back end and front end system
• Work with multiple team to implement a unified service
• Creating python modules to simplify user onboarding and entitlement management

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in Python
• 5+ years of experience working in one of the following Python services: containers, APIs, Microservices
• Familiar with micro service architecture and principles of 12 factor app
• Expert in writing unit tests
• Expert in creating batch/ETL jobs
• 3+ years of work experience in an Agile environment. Work history of participating in daily agile routines and estimation of stories with minimal direction
• Practical experience with performance tuning
• Understanding error and exception handling. Understanding of memory dump, thread dump, query plans
• Outstanding communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science

Desired Skills:

• Minimum of 3 years of hands on Python experience
• Experience with various levels of Python implementation
• Experience with integrating code into CI/CD pipeline
• Experience with multiple python packages
• Experience with creating multi-threaded applications
