Python Developer (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a Python Developer for our client in Jersey City, NJ. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description:

• Senior Python Developer to architect, design, develop and maintain for the low latency high frequency Fixed Income eTrading Platform. The individual will play critical role in re-designing data flow architecture. Data enrichment and reporting for RATES eTrading. Generate reports to help Sales team performing their analysis. Work closely with surveillance / audit / compliance team to capture and provide transactional data. Follow release and production change procedures and work with other teams to deliver and maintain reliable and functional front-office pricing and trading applications. Participate in rotational production support activities. Identify, analyze, communicate and resolve application, infrastructure and environmental issues and problems. Produce clear and accurate defect reports detailing software and functional issues based on testing results. Willing to learn and share the FIT knowledge and working experience

Required Experience And Skill Sets:

• Strong hands-on experience on Python, KDB, Unix, Relational database development on low latency high frequency Platform.
• Ability to work with senior trader/sales on rapid front-office development and to respond to critical production problem
• Working knowledge of the Fixed Income products – Rates product is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Ability to communicate and act professionally with IT staff and business clients while under strict deadlines.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented setting.
• 7+ years of working experience.
