Python / Database Developer (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a Python Developer for our client in Jersey City, NJ Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description:

• The Global Markets Risk Data team are responsible for the sourcing, processing, persisting, enrichment, and provisioning of the large volumes of data required for key market risk calculations such as VaR (Value at Risk) as well as regulatory reporting.

Required:

• 8 + years’ experience in a similar environment
• Proven programming ability in one or more industry standard languages, preferably Python, with OO programming & design patterns
• Proven database development experience, preferably with DB2 or SQL Server/Sybase/Oracle experience.
• Proved track record in solution design and delivery.
• Experience in developing high performance server-side applications dealing with very large volumes of data
• Excellent communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills
• Experienced working on large enterprise-level projects

Preferred:

• Investment Banking Domain experience – Risk and/or product knowledge would be an advantage.
• Experience of working in an Agile/Scrum team
