Project Manager / Business Analyst (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a Project Manager / Business Analyst for our client in Jersey City, NJ. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description:

  • Highly experienced Project Manager and Business Analyst to help manage projects within the GFC Data Technology group and liaise with the business teams, GFC Software DEV Teams, and other Tech team.
  • Global Financial Crimes Data Technology team delivers data solutions for the enhanced monitoring of suspicious activity across Anti Money Laundering (AML) and Economic Sanctions.
  • The primary mission of the group is to design and implement a strategic GFC Data Strategy in order to consume and provision data required for GFC models, calculations, reporting, investigations, and case management.
  • This role will perform project management, Business Analysis, reporting, and assist with release management for various regulatory, risk, and initiative projects.
  • This role will also fulfill various business analysis, creating presentation decks and/or flow charts, and overall program monitoring / reporting responsibilities as required for the group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with multiple teams: Development, Business, Risk, and others to drive project/program delivery.
  • Initiates and maintains reporting relationships with project stakeholders including team members, peers, managers, Business, Risk and any other affected departments to coordinate efforts across multiple business units and ensure continuous and efficient management of projects.
  • Collaborates and communicates with other project managers and leaders to coordinate cross-project initiatives and activities.
  • Implement and execute all program governance routines.
  • Develops documentation; monitors and reports project status; assess the effectiveness and accuracy of documentation
  • Gathers/facilitates status updates for the deliverables to stakeholders and leadership pertaining to delivery, risks/issues, and schedule
  • Provide program level reporting to track all base and initiative projects / deliverables in terms of release dates and financial management, also including audit / regulatory / infrastructure / npt and other deliverables across the program
  • Create a clear, coherent approach to guide effective program / initiative setup, execution and controls across the GFC program
  • Identify and eliminate obstacles to solution plans, business goals, or implementation.
  • Lead various meetings, manage timelines, milestones and communicates project status.
  • Manage various governance and change management routines.
  • Manage deployments & ensure proper testing and post release validation
  • Integrate with project, technology, and business partners to manage the projects and be proactive in gathering status updates from Business partners, Business Analysts, Dev Teams, etc. while minimizing impact.
  • Escalate risks and issues as necessary
  • Coordinate among other Tech teams for complex projects
  • Coordinate and Execute on Enterprise Change Management requirements
  • Participate, and in some cases lead, End-to-End Project review
  • Manage updates to various reporting decks and/or reporting tools (PGR, PMO deck, AgileView, etc.)
  • Provide support as necessary to other team members for various projects

Required Skills:

  • 7+ years Project Management + Business Analysis experience
  • Experience with Agile methodology
  • Must be able to build project plans and able to plan and manage end-to-end tasks and coordinate with multiple teams to ensure project completes successfully and on time
  • Experience with the Agile Tool for Tracking work (JIRA)
  • Adept at problem solving; strong time management and task prioritization skills
  • Excels at adapting to changing business needs with ability to balance multiple competing priorities in an extremely fast-paced environment
  • Highly organized and motivated self-starter who can deliver results with minimal direction
  • Excellent relationship, team building and facilitation skills with the ability to proactively navigate complexities of gaining buy-in and driving collaboration
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability
  • Excellent skills with creating decks and/or presentations or flow charts
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or other related degree
  • Ability to work independently, with little supervision
  • Ability to multi-task work on multiple projects and/or other tasks for the team.

Preferred Skills:

  • PMP Certification
  • Prior experience with our Client and familiarity with AML & Fraud Compliance
  • Experience with Hadoop (or ability and enthusiasm to learn quickly)
  • Prior Experience with various reporting tools such as JIRA, PPRT, AgileView, etc.
